One to watchBy Norfolkgal (61 reviews) , 14 Nov 2012
[Highly rated reviewer]Excellent film if you can cope with its hand held camera style. Jake Gyllenhaal is very good as police officer Brian Taylor although you wonder if the real L A police would be as sensitive as in his portrayal of one.
There have been so many cop movies so that the angle of this one from a ride along perspective was at least a little different. This dramatical representation of life as a policeman in L A shows the dangers involved in such a job and the criminals in this film were played with zeal.

A good cop movieBy a customer , 01 Dec 2013Really enjoyed this film. The actors are all good and I liked the twists and turns in the story. Well worth watching
Boring and slowBy harc (1 review) , 30 Nov 2013This movie had overall good reviews but honestly it has barley any story line and is more or less two hours of a few action scenes and mostly the focus of the whole movie is on the relationshop of two cops JUST BORING
fantastic filmBy Liamh1994 (2 reviews) , 29 Nov 2013fantastic film recommend highly it grips u from the beginning right through to the end and ends on a light note amazing
Pretty GoodBy a customer , 25 Nov 2013Good film - well acted, good script, good characterisation. It would have been a lot better if there was less of the camcorder style filming though. Also was a little on the depressing side.
good, but watch training day instead if you haven't seen it!By prowler (3 reviews) , 21 Nov 2013
THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS Show review anywayHidegood movie, not as good as Training day from the same writer, so if you haven't seen that watch it first. The ending is much too downbeat, I think you can still have a positive ending and be credible. It's a good film but the ending takes something away for me
