Beautifully shot this film is gripping from start to finish. Evenly paced with excellent acting, it's vivid and unflinching in it's portrayal of the true story of the Saint family - but without being grotesque or indulgent. The End of the Spear is worth all five stars because it's one of those sort of films that grabs you and shakes you awake: widening your perspective on life and challenging you. It sets up one of the great questions of life: what does it take for one man to give his life for another? Why this was never more of a hit at the box office is a mystery to me; I suspect a lack of funding, which is a shame as this deserves a much bigger audience.
the write up must have been for another a film just slow rubbish
