The issue of domestic violence is exploited for cheap thrills in this tawdry cat-and-mouse thriller. Constructed from the usual clichés, it unsuccessfully attempts to redefine lightweight star Jennifer Lopez as a “serious” actress. Lip-glossed to perfection, Lopez works through a catalogue of female stereotypes: hard-working waitress; blushing bride; spousal punching bag, and, finally, determined mother who fights back. Each “life cycle” is accompanied by a different wig and display of mental ingenuity, as Lopez's character, Slim, embarks on a Sleeping with the Enemy-style journey to escape her vicious husband, Mitch (Billy Campbell). For all its gut-churning brutality, the film remains a grotesque mockery of reality, with director Michael Apted crudely using violence to manipulate audience emotion. Consequently, by the time he unveils his calculating conclusion, any meaningful message has been swept away on a tide of patronising, and ultimately comic, absurdity.

Well being a Jennifer Lopez film i was unsure at first about this film. I thought Jennifer Lopez was only good for films like 'The Wedding Planner' and 'Main in Manhatten', but in 'Enough' its a pretty different role she plays. She plays a serious part...........well sort of and she does deliver. This gripping, tense movie will have not only her usual crowd of females but males also lovin' it by the end. Definatley one to watch.

    A really good film!

This is actually a really good film! I was quite suprised because Jennifer Lopez ussually picks pretty cheesy movies but this isn't cheesy at all. I would definately recommend watching it!

    Surprisingly Good

Firstly the acting and direction of this film are excellent and because of this it lifts this above the norm for this type of film. It makes for a tense thriller which holds your interest and makes you care about the mother and daughter and despise the father, even the ending which would normally be a bit much to believe is done so well it seems believable. It's not a girlie film either as there is lots of action on view.

    Surprisingly good

J Lo is not one of my screen favorites, but did a competent job in this exciting film. There are large gaps in the plot, but that is nothing unusual for most Hollywood films, just enjoy the action. It was also good to see Juliette Lewis back on the screen after what seems a long absence, and for once she was given a decent role rather than playing the dumb bimbo.

    Surprising

Oh God, Jennifer Lopez... the thought sent me into a shiver and I vowed never to rent this DVD. But I did and I'm glad! A really powerful film that hits home on the effects that a psychopath can have on his family. The ending was excellent. Don't expect realism though, this is a film and you have to have your fantasy head on as it progresses. If you want hardcore realism all the way through then maybe this is NOT for you!

Started off really boring, just about switched it off, when 20 minutes into the film it turned into an amazing movie, very intense and didn't give you a chance to stop and breath. Want the toilet? Don't even try to put this one on pause.

    predictable - and VERY l-o-n-g!

If you have seen 'Sleeping With The Enemy' - don't bother with this one as well. Same story - different actors. Gave it three stars coz it had a pretty good ending.

    ENOUGH

I loved this film, its totally OTT and was action all the way. This is the first time I have seen JLo acting but she was GOOD! I found it so exciting and was rooting for her right to the end.Watch and enjoy. I defy you not to be totally absorbed.

When I found out Jennifer Lopez was in this I thought right I am not going to like this. But to my amazement I found it quite entertaining. It pretty much does what it says on the box.

This a standard husband beats wife, wife goes on run, husband tracks down wife and wife hits back. Although this is a tried and tested formular this films is good. Jennifer Lopez is convincing as a wife being terrorised by her abusive husband.

This is no "Sleeping With The Enemy". But it will hold you right up untl the end.
