I'm writing it to prevent people wasting their time, like we did. We're not sure who recommended this to us, but whoever they are...
Anyway, it's so boringly useless unwatchable, you'd have to see it to believe it, but then you'd kick yourself for having rented it. We got 5 minutes in before being forced to turn it off. If you are desperately interested in the world of Hollywood in which nothing at all happens other than some people go around talking to some other people about completely boring stuff, and have drinks and say some more stuff, and no character has a memorable personality or an original thought, then this is the series for you. This is roughly what I remember the five minutes of Beverly Hills 90210 being like that I caught back in the 80s, when friends of mine liked it. I wasn't interested as a teenager, and am less so now. It's more boring than that, because it's blokes and no apparent intrigues - not even boring ones. As far as I can tell, the key Big Themes of this series were going to be that this one guy with nice eyes is a Hollywood star now, and his brother and two best friends from high school live with him and are his entourage, and use their proximity to the star to get laid. One of the friends is 'smart' and reads the star's scripts for him - this is the other theme that will probably develop and which I am not interested in at all. It became apparent that the star doesn't read any of his scripts, I expect this will lead to some mildly uncomfortable situations that I care nothing about, like meetings with producers where the star doesn't know about the film. Perhaps it will even emerge that he is illiterate. Who knows? Why on earth would anyone care? His brother has also been in movies, and is played by Kevin Dillon, and is the only character with any character at all, albeit a hackneyed, cliched one. The other friend is 'stupid' and uses the word 'p*ssy' a lot and is precisely like a lot of incredibly boring, stupid people in the world, who are 'good old boys' or whatever. Though he's not a hick. So, if you are that kind of person, too, perhaps you would feel comforted by this stupid 'drama'.
Hopefully, not one of the people who reads this will rent it, unless your unlimited rental account means you won't lose any money doing so, because the ONLY reason to put this in the DVD player is to confirm that it should be avoided at all costs.
