The All Time Greatest Football Film Ever Made

Not a bad storyline to go along with it either. Just one small down point though. What was the director thinking when he cast Sylvester stallone as the allies Goalkeeper. With a cast of football legends making up the allies team and a fair few in the Germans why couldn't they also cast a Goalkeeping legend. Although I suppose this part did require some acting abillity something the footballers lack. Good if ur in to football films

So if u love football u can come and c this film but if not don't c it it's borring lol.
And this film is a little weird because it's about a war in world war but it's footy lol verry odd.
But I can say this dose have good actors in this film like syvester stallone and micheal cane and u might recognise some fold footballers in this film good ones :) so if u love sport film u shord like or if u don't don't come an c ok ;) no worth it I do like sport but not the movies lol ok :) all thow syvester Stallone rurls ;)

Epic drama wrapped in a family movie

I loved this movie. Highly slated within America (probably because it doesn't portray them winning the war), thisa movie follows the escape plans of a group of european POW's. When offered the chance to play a friendly international football match against the Reich's Pros, the POW's agree simply because it means better rations and more daylight hours training. It also becomes the sole focus for the camp escape commitee. Starring real footballing legends Pele, Ossie Ardilles & Bobbie Moore alongside great actors Max Von Sydow, Michael Caine and a post Rocky Sylvester Stallone.- Was this review helpful to you?
