I loved this Blu-ray of Etta James in concert. The main feature is 1 hour and a half of blues greatness. Her band is tight and talented and Etta is on great form. The 1080i picture is strong and the LPCM 24bit audio is terrific.
The special features - which show Etta at Montreux in earlier years between 1975 and 1990 - are also good - but the video is inevitably compromised by the non-HD recording techniques of the time. There are, nonetheless, some great performances here. 'Sugar on the Floor', in particular, is awesome.
A treat for all blues lovers.- Was this review helpful to you?

(3)Late Etta
By a customer , 21 Feb 2013Very polished performance, so if you are hoping for something of the grittiness of early Etta James you may be disappointed- Was this review helpful to you?
