Poignant and utterly absorbing, the film slowly captivates you. We are drawn into the lives of people devastated by tragedy and are keen to see them cope with their pain, to find absolution.

Slow yet suspenseful and beautifully shot in colour - later treated with a sepia filter - you should be not be put off by the running time. Not a moment is wasted in this overview of tragedy, hope and, everything willing, contentment.

Well worth a rental.

About the reviewer: Kinote

Cinema is the purest form of the visual arts. It transcends the senses creating, in the dark, a world of sound and vision. For two hours, the realities of the world are left behind. We enter, unknowing, into a freshly constructed 'reality' and if we find the film 'good', it can change our lives for ever...
