This was probably my fault I was expecting to have a guided tour of French Gardens by an historian explaining various areas of interest. What I got was Gardens and classical symphonies playing in the background. Not what I wanted, to be fair it may have got better I won't know as I switch off after the first 5 minutes. The scenery of the gardens were superb but I would have like a bit more information the idea for me was I'd like to go and visit some of these gardens in the future.Would have been nice to have some suggestion on what's good to visit. This is just my humble opinion.- Was this review helpful to you?

(2)An hour of Gardens & Classical Music
By riskysmith (107 reviews) , 24 May 2013[Highly rated reviewer]
The first thing to say about this disc is why it was on blu ray , as it was only 57 minutes and 8300 mb. Having said that the gardens were pleasant enough although I have visited many in my holidays in France which were more colourful, mainly in the Loire valley. The other reviewer obviously is not a fan of classical music, as the gardens were not accompanied by symphonies. I enjoyed the five pieces accompanying five gardens, three of which were by French composers, Lully, Rameau, and Saint-Saens. The other two were a German Telemann, and Marcello an Italian. Why not all French for their gardens?. Recommended for viewing but I cannot see many being sold at blu ray prices.- Was this review helpful to you?
