Let's be objective.... We should not feel obliged to praise average performances once the performer has died. This is the sort of performance you could expect to see in most jazz bars anywhere in the world at any time by people who will remain local stars without an international stage. It's all very basic; her voice is okay, a very limited vocal range albeit with a great belt of power when she really goes for it. There is little originality, no charisma and her guitar-playing is awful. It's not long until you are willing for the whining to end. It is a sweet, childlike karaoke performance but I fear she would remain completely unknown if it hadn't been for the tragedy of her early passing.
