I thought this was a gentle but rewarding film. Pierce Brosnan is excellent in the lead role and almost manages to convince us he is just an ordinary bloke, nature has conspired against him in that but his speech in court is inspired and he nails it. The little girl who plays the Evelyn is excellent.
