Such a tender yet powerful film, it is shot superbly through sepia tones and a delicate score that perfectly reflects the era of early 1900's. The performances by all the cast are so true and touching they potray strong emotions that are as relevant today, as they were then. In brilliant contrast to todays fast world of technology, this film helps to remind us of the magic of capturing a moment in history, preserved forever in a picture. This film also wonderfully explores the freedom of art itself and journeys through many of lifes virtues including, self empowerment, loyalty through hardship, family, hope, and above all, love.
