KOPITES NEVER KNEW WHAT HIT THEM. THEY COULD BRING IN SUPPORTERS FROM ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD [OH, THEY ALREADY DO!], AND WOULD NEVER BE ABLE TO MATCH THE PASSION AND COMMITTMENT THAT IS EVERTON. ANOTHER 3 POINTS. AT THE END OF THE SEASON, THE TABLE DOESNT LIE - THE BEST TEAM ON MERSEYSIDE, AND THE 4TH BEST TEAM IN THE COUNTRY. END OF STORY.

These are the 3 defining games for Moyes' Everton team's impressive 4th place finish. While riding high in the league, the derby against Liverpool wasn't pretty but any win against that lot is welcome and made a hero of Lee Carsley.

Settling a score against Man U at a hostile Goodison and a Duncan Ferguson winner. Finally, sealing off 4th place with a great win against Newcastle, the team everyone likes to beat.

Not even the season review shows the last game battering against Arsenal but what a season!

Beating Liverpool is always a fantastic feeling but this victory was a bit extra special because we also finished the season above them. Re-live the match and feel the goose pimples as Carsley scores. BRILLIANT.
