A strong, highly experienced TV-movie cast here re-enacts the true story of a Texas toddler who plunged into a disused well. Though the ensuing nail-biting rescue attempt created world headlines, it has to be said that this is not a complicated tale and the ending is never in doubt from scene one. But, given those limitations, screenplay writer David Eyre Jr does a very fine job of engaging our interest and holding it fast until the thankfully robust finale, which makes the 999 TV series look like a pre-school game of doctors and nurses.

    Real Weepie

If you feel in need of a good cry then this documentary will have you using up the tissue box from start to finish. Even though I had seen it years ago it has the same impact each time you watch it. Also shows human nature at its best with eveyone wanting to help in any way they can to get this toddler out.
