This film is just that....fine. Not brilliant, not dire, just fine! Worthy of a DVD rental but wouldnt waste your money on going to the pictures to watch it.- Was this review helpful to you?

By MrsJoyce (1 review) , 04 Jun 2013THIS IS NOT A COMEDY. Seriously people, if you're looking for something light-hearted or uplifting, this is NOT, I repeat NOT the film for you. 'Some funny moments'...um...really?! I'm certainly not saying it's a bad film: I had intended to watch half an hour of it before going to bed and ended up watching the whole thing. It's not a film I'd buy on DVD, but I don't feel as though the time spend watching that film was stolen. I mean, I wasn't gripped. I just couldn't be bothered to get up. So, if you're looking for a film which will make you think about family dynamics, this would be a good choice. It's quite poignant in parts. I'm very tired now. I'm going to bed. My husband's been waiting hours, poor man. It wouldn't be so bad but we've only been married 3 hours. I said I'd bring him a glass of water.- Was this review helpful to you?

Best drama i've seen in a while!!

Best film I've seen in a while

If your depressed, stay clear!

I went to watch this film hoping that it would be a comedy that would cheer me up after a hard day, the cast looked good with DeNiro, Beckinsale, Barrymore etc. I was severly disappointed I was almost bored to tears right from the start and if the intro to a film its good then its not going to capture the audience. The beginning is crucial for the success of a film. So I didn't watch it the whole way through, I turned it off after just 10 minutes but it was just so disappointing I didn't want to ruin the rest of my night and my love for these top-class A-list actors by watching this dare I say awful film. But I guess you already knew that from the other reviews, but if you like that sort of thing go ahead but you've been warned!- Was this review helpful to you?
