As a (soon to be) divorced father of three, this story struck a chord. The shape of things to come? De Niro gives a strong but subtle performance, although the contacts with his children are rather rushed through. Parents will relate to this as, hopefully, will older children that perhaps don't keep in contact with Mum / Dad as much as they should.
