This film certainly isn't for everyone, but if you're a fan of classic musicals and Woody Allen, you'll love this! The film pastiches many old musicals (Including a fantastic Marx brothers segment!), and has a very witty story. It must be understood from the beginning that this isn't a straight musical, and none of the actors can sing, but once you take that on board and sit back and appreciate Allen's magic, it's a wonderful way to spend 100 minutes. (It's not particularly long, and certainly doesn't need to be cut!)

  • So forgettable...

...I didn't remember I'd seen it before until I saw the one memorable scene in it. Musicals are hard to get through unless they're brilliant. This film was mostly just tiresome...but because it's Woody Allen, of course it has its moments. The scenes with him and Goldie Hawn towards the end, at the party and after made me glad I hadn't ejected it.

This film is just great. Full of lovely songs ,which you find yourself singing for days after and an amazing dialogue that makes you laugh outloud. How often does that happen?

If you want some escapism and a good laugh , get this film!

  • I'm Through With Love, I'll Never Fall Again!!!

I am quite new to the world of 'Woody Allen' but after renting 'Bullets Over Broadway', I thought I would give this movie a try.

I am so glad that I did as it is a very funny story, highly witty, with a stellar cast of actors.

'Goldie Hawn' and 'Woody Allen' have fantastic chemistry together, and I also enjoyed 'Edward Norton's' performance as he is always wonderful in my eyes.

The breathtaking views of New York, Paris, and Venice are an added bonus, and the end scene with Goldie singing & dancing alongside the 'Seine' is just pure fantasy perfection. :)

This is the nail in the coffin for me and Woody Allen films, I admit it that I do like some of his early stuff, when he did all that screwball type thing, and his stand up is pretty good, hell he was even a pretty good writer on the Sid Ceasar show but I'm sorry I just don't get him. What's more I don't get people who do get him, frankly I reckon they only say they like him because they fancy being some sort of cool hip New York type and by saying they like this they can be in the club. I'm no longer prepared to sit through hours of New York based drivel on the off chance that there might be one decent gag. He is now going into the overrated bin along with Bob Dylan and conceptual art.

Yes, it was a good light hearted fast moving Woody Allen film. And the singing was ok.
