Give it a try.By Zebras22 (116 reviews) , 20 Nov 2013Not as bad as the critics make out. Will Ferrell proves that he can act as well as being a funny man. The story is a bit pointless but still entertains. Worth a watch.
A little out of the ordinaryBy a customer , 07 Sep 2013Not a 'laugh out loud' comedy because of the rather sad circumstance Will finds himself in, but nevertheless a good film, very watchable.
Misleading trailer - not funny!By a customer , 30 Apr 2013Although marketed as a comedy this film is really very sad. The lead character has an alcohol problem and has been dumped by his wife and has lost his job. The story revolves around him living out in his garden and getting thoroughly drunk and his friendship with a boy who cycles around whilst waiting for his mum to finish work. I was expecting a laugh but instead I was watching someone's life fall apart - felt a bit cheated!
Not a typical role for Ferrell.By gingerspike (432 reviews) from Grimsby , 30 Mar 2013An odd but interesting and humane role for Will Ferrell. The film has been advertised as a comedy, but it really so. Sure, it has it's funny moments but the film is a drama, and tells the story of a man who's fired from his job. He goes home to discover his wife has left him, changed all the locks on their home and left all his belongings on the front lawn. He befriends a young boy who helps him formulate a way forward. An unusual but original film that's well worth watching.
Give it a missBy a customer , 06 Mar 2013Only watched the first 20 minutes before giving up. It was painful! Not the comedy I was expecting. Don't rent this movie!
