In the first film from her production company First Kiss, Alicia Silverstone stars as an annoying, spoiled brat who fakes her own kidnapping by locking herself in the trunk of her car. She then gets snatched for real when thief Benicio Del Toro steals it. This dire comedy adventure from Demolition Man director Marco Brambilla is lacking in laughs, romance and action. As it plods along, only the reliable Christopher Walken is worth watching. A bad mis-step for Silverstone who, while superb in the hilarious Clueless, is simply grating here.

    Great mindless viewing

I just love Benicio's laconic style so I could watch him in almost anything. This doesn't require the brain to be switched on but it is fun and I would watch it again.

I gave this film 3- 4 tries. Each attempt was painful. I think it is meant to be comedy, awful.

Yet again a film based upon a wrong place wrong time situation starring the faded Alicia Silverstone and the wasted talent of Benicio Del Torro. This in short is a comical farce, no plot, no laughs and Alicia Silverstone doesn't even look pretty enough to keep you engrossed. There is no chemistry between the protagonists and the only reason I gave this a score of 2 is because of Del Torro, his mere presence lifts this idiotic idea of a film.

    A good lighthearted film

A funny little film with some excellent actors in. Benicio Del Toro totally dominates the film not by overacting but by being a wacky and interesting character. Anything with Christopher Waliken in has to be worth a look but he is oversahdowed by Benicio Del Toro.

    Poor

I thought this film was very poorly acted. In fact it made me cringe.

The plot was predictable. What can I say? Don't bother!
