    [Highly rated reviewer]

Laugh out loud Documentary about an eccentric French 'artist' (Thierry Guetta) living in LA. He is obsessive about filming and documenting everything and anything! and once introduced into the world of street art through his cousin consequently becomes the first to get substantial video footage of the processes involved. He meets and films (without too much protest) varying world renowned graffiti artists, including the illusive Banksy. He is supposedly given the challenge of converting his footage into a documentary but the result of his endeavours are not favourable. Banksy seemingly steps in and the footage is turned back onto the French man. Thus producing a documentary about the man behind the camera and his introduction to street art (very convenient). The film follows the French man as he creates his own street art persona, known as 'Mr Brainwash'. He proceeds to set up his own studio and manufactures a huge portfolio of works based on 20th-century artworks. This work is then promoted and validated with a quote from Banksy for a grand opening to the public in LA. It is a huge success and 'Mr Brainwash' has done exactly what tag line suggests.

This film is definitely worth watching and I enjoyed watching Banksy's dry British humour contrasted with the eccentricities of the Guetta. The difficulty lies in whether I believe the convenience of the storyline or is this in fact a very carefully thought out means of exposing a gullible public. Very enjoyable!

Massively entertaining. A good insight into street art, helped along by the dry whit of Banksy. some actual artists may find the mildly endearing frenchman offensive, in his work ethic and overall outlook on art (i know i did); none the less, anybody interested in art, or practicing, this is a must watch.

I went into this thinking it was going to be about Banksy,I was wrong,it is about the rather mad LA based French dude Thierry Guetta ... or is it? Whether real or not this is a brilliant film, very funny, chaotic and fascinating. Banksy's barren dry British humour and dialogue is brilliant. Watch this ... it will not disappoint

Gripping interesting fascinating documentary. Not a straightforward documentary at all, a very enthralling story. Very well put together. Shines a spotlight on an interesting area of art and its characters
