Based on a novel by Anne Rice, author of Interview with the Vampire, this unfunny sex comedy is only worth catching if you're sure you can stomach the sight of Dan Aykroyd in bondage gear. Aykroyd and Rosie O'Donnell play a pair of investigators going “undercover“ at an S&M resort run by Dana Delany, while Strictly Ballroom star Paul Mercurio (Where is he now? Hiding from embarrassment, we suspect) wanders around in something resembling a nappy. A career low for Pretty Woman director Garry Marshall and just about everyone else involved.

  • Drear, unbelievably bad comedy; the actors seem embarrassed, as well they might, and the director is obviously uncomfortable with any fantasy more explicit than his Pretty Woman.

  • Garry (Pretty Woman) Marshall's sexploiter makes Zalman King's 'women's fantasy' movies seem sophisticated and daring.... read more on Time Out

    Laugh along with this

I didn't hold out a lot of hope for this movie, but was pleasantly surprised to find myself laughing along with its farcical plot.

Cops Sheila (Rosie O'Donnell) and Fred (Dan Aykroyd) are sent to the fantasy sex island to retrieve the photographs taken by Elliott Slater (Paul Mercurio)of a diamond smuggler. Unfortunately the diamond smuggler also wants the photos back and sends in assassins.

This offers an adult comedy with some rather well sign posted twists.

    Fetish and Laughs

This is a movie that I could watch over and over again. It explores that world of erotica; Sub and Dom. It is also a laugh a minute.

Warning: if you are renting this to watch with your parents....... don't!!!

    Dire

There is only one word to describe this film, 'dire', although this is probably to keep the american audiences happy meaning that most of the book didn't make it into the film. Watch it if only to see why Paul Mercurio Hollywood career suddenly nosedived after gaining fame in Strictly Ballroom.

    Kinky little comedy!

This movie is definitely nothing special, for the mind, but gives you some laughs.

I especially like the comedic word duel of the two stars Akroyd and O'Donnell.

The story is very easy and makes not much sense, but the slapstick comedy and the sexual explanations are certainly quite amusing!

    Slapstick, pure!!
