If you think your life is bad, then watch this movie for a shot of inspiration!
By a customer from Beddington , 04 Mar 2010[Highly rated reviewer]
This movie is about overcoming the odds. Fraser's character in the movie has 2 kids with Pompe's Disease. That means his kids life spans are quickly running out. The movie is one man's singleminded pursuit to not accept the inevitable but rather to challenge it .The result is extraordinary and just downright inspirational! A bone fide tear jerker as the previous reviewer said, so bring plenty of tissues!- Was this review helpful to you?

sloppy effort
By raveydaveygravey (3 reviews) from Dorchester , 19 Jul 2012i find the generally likeable brendan frazer to be hard to watch here. maybe badly cast, maybe badly directed, the result is a character i can't relate to despite the sympathetic role.
the other characters play it ok - harrison fords grumpy scientist is a welcome contrast to frazers gurning mush. the feisty, wheelchair-bound daughter is predictably played, but maybe that's just american kids.
sloppy script and direction here - a good story wasted.- Was this review helpful to you?
