Despite the iffy reviews here, i took an opportunity i had to see this at the cinema and i'm glad i did.
It has lots of funny moments, particularly involving the brilliant Ewan Bremner. The film's worth seeing just for his Klingon love scene.
Best of all the film had real heart, thanks to the well written script and an excellent, committed as always, performance from Eddie Marsden that had me welling up at the end.
I'm now an even bigger fan of Bremner and Marsden and will keep my eyes open for the next movie from the writer, David Lemon.
BTW, nice to see such a good low-budget film made in the UK.
WELL IT WAS I HAVE TO SAY VERY WIERD BUT COMICAL IN CERTIAN SCENES.The characters were likable and very modern day to life a very believable story line of what really matters in the end when things crumble what are the basics. It was a clever story and some scenes were very emotive with regards to the different relationships running through the characters. It left you with high and lows throughout. Not the best film but in a wierd way worth a watch..........
