Great concert
By Keith Jordan from Mossley, England , 15 Dec 2004[Highly rated reviewer]
Fairport at Birmingham.
Forget the rather stiff introductions and the almost nonexistant stage presence (exept for Ric of course), this is an excellent sample of the group's vast selection of songs & tunes.
Focusing mainly on what is known as the 'Woodworm Years' this is a good DVD for the fan & also should convert newcommers to the band that invented Folk Rock.- Was this review helpful to you?

By a customer from UK , 23 Jun 2008A concert from 1990 filmed in Birmingham Town Hall. Simon says "it's good to be back". Very good quality video and audio. As it's now 16 years ago, you get Peggy with (some) hair and a slimline Maart. DM on drums plus Simon and Ric. Nice version of Porteirion with Ric and Maart. Plus Red and Gold, a classic Matty Groves (where Ric takes his glasses off!) with The Rutland Reel and Sack the Juggler, Meet on the Ledge. Plus The Eynsham Poacher, On the Floor, Honour and Praise, Bird from the Mountain, London River, From a Distance.
The DVD just shows the concert straight through although you can select the starting track.- Was this review helpful to you?
