I wasn't sure about seeing this movie, ,but I have to admit Patrick Wilson played a character that I really grew to like. If you're looking for a feel good movie to watch, rent this dvd.

This was confused to what it was trying to be.... but Wilson and Greer were great. Why isnt she a bigger star?

    Nice but nothing special

Gave up watching after half an hour, the level of acting was at a level I can only call abysmal. Really not a funny film .If you want a fun evening then save your money and go watch someone mow the grass It will be more entertaining than this film.

  • Unlikeable berk has baby, grows up. Yawn.

A film with a good heart let down by an utterly predictable storyline and the unlikeability of the main character.

Of course, if our man is going to effect a transformation from irresponsible hedonist to solid family man, we need to be able to see the improvement in him. But we are introduced to a character who is so without any redeeming qualities whatsoever that it forces you to question the central storyline - what kind of woman would have sex with this berk?

In fact, there are very few personality changes that he could have undergone throughout the course of this movie that would not result in him becoming more likeable - if he'd developed into a serial killer, for example, you could still like him more than the moron we first meet. Or a tory MP.

There is, however, something relaxing about watching the film plot its inevitable course to a happy ending - no risk of unanswered questions, lingering unhappiness or unfulfilled promise here. That said, though, you will not take anything away with you when this film ends - so be prepared to be 2 hours older and not at all wiser.
