This is the daddy of road-trip films. A young Kevin Costner and his college mates on one last bash before they get conscripted (Vietnam), married or whatever.
I'm not a huge fan of Costner but here he plays it laid back and sometimes deep (similar to American Flyers) but throws in some great, funny scenes. Judd Nelson is superb and is involved in an awesome, hilarious scene invovling a parachute-jump in Hicksville.
Very funny and of its time, with a superb ending. Theres a quality soundtrack too.
Get it...you'll love it!
been searching a copy of this for a little while.
i ask film buffs if they have heard of this film and get blank expressions back.
i saw it late one night and was smitten, there isnt another college/ teenager right of passage / road movie that comes near.
there are some genuinely original gags and
costner and gang are hilarious, in this now cult film.
