my children love the fantastic four. this close knit family of superheroes are preparing for Reed and Sue's Wedding, when the fantastic four meet their greatest challenge yet .
in 'Fantastic Four and The Silver Surfer' the enigmatic, intergalactic herald, The Silver Surfer, comes to Earth to prepare it for destruction. he is a strange being who travels through space on a cosmic surfboard.
As the Silver Surfer races around the globe wreaking havoc, Reed, Sue, Johnny and Ben must unravel the mystery of The Silver Surfer, and confront the surprising return of their mortal enemy, Dr. Doom, before all hope is lost.
and then, whilst they are trying to subdue their silvery foe, the fantastic four superhero family, discover to their horror, that the Surfer is just a herald, for an even bigger menace: The planet-devouring Galactus.

Well toned and well heeled
By RichPickings (167 reviews) from 'kin Bruges , 28 Aug 2012Heh, heh!
I like having to watch some films and its good to have a variety in your diet.
This has the comic's economy of exposition, never testing of patience. It's muscle definition has manners, not steroids and its eye candy has the good grace to look appealing.
Its playful touch never steps beyond its classic story line and as if in approval, half way through, the maestro steps forward with a self effacing cameo, striking just that chord.
It is fantastic, there are four of them. A witty and faithful rendering of a drawn inspiration. Well worth Marvelling at.- Was this review helpful to you?

I got wrong disk
By AuronGrande (47 reviews) , 19 Feb 2012I couldn't watch this film full stop. When I got it, the Blu-Ray disk wouldn't play. I was sent a copy in the wrong region. So I sent it back. I didn't bother asking for a replacement as I knew the film wasn't very good anyway.- Was this review helpful to you?

Could have been better
By David Bunce from Cardiff, UK , 03 Aug 2011Reed Richards (Ioan Gruffudd) and Sue Storm (Jessica Alba) are getting married. A silver statue on a surfboard travels to Earth. He/it seems intent on destroying the Earth for some reason that is never made known. Contact with the mysterious surfer has some interesting side effects that make some great comedy moments.
I enjoyed the film, but I felt that it doesnt live up to its full potential. It had the ability to be a huge film like X Men, but the story line is under developed and the action never really gets going. Worth watching but it really could have been so much better.- Was this review helpful to you?
