my children love the fantastic four. this close knit family of superheroes are preparing for Reed and Sue's Wedding, when the fantastic four meet their greatest challenge yet .
in 'Fantastic Four and The Silver Surfer' the enigmatic, intergalactic herald, The Silver Surfer, comes to Earth to prepare it for destruction. he is a strange being who travels through space on a cosmic surfboard.
As the Silver Surfer races around the globe wreaking havoc, Reed, Sue, Johnny and Ben must unravel the mystery of The Silver Surfer, and confront the surprising return of their mortal enemy, Dr. Doom, before all hope is lost.
and then, whilst they are trying to subdue their silvery foe, the fantastic four superhero family, discover to their horror, that the Surfer is just a herald, for an even bigger menace: The planet-devouring Galactus.
this is well worth watching
I hated the first film but thought I would give this a chance being a Silver Surfer fan.
My fears were confirmed this is aweful, TV movie at best...
not my kind of film

Like Fantastic Four, Rise of the Silver Surfer is a really exciting film for the kids, and a pretty good watch for the older kids amongst us as well. This time 'The Four' face a cosmic foe on his Silver Surfboard, but the question is, is the Silver Surfer the enemy, or simply a pathfinder for an even bigger threat yet to reach earth... watch it and see for yourself, you surely won't be dissapointed.
Does anyone else utterly detest EVERY ONE of the four main characters in this film? They are lifeless, skillless wannabes who bring nothing to the screen.
And their powers? Beyond the bloke from nip-and-tuck, and maybe the fireball chap, the others are utterly naff. I man - plastic man, shield woman, and rock fella. Got to work as a TEAM to do owt. Give it a rest - they're B list superheroes in a C list film.
Shameful cash-in with tired cliches and derivative of every other superheroes film to date.
I'd do the blonde though. But only once.
The Silver Surfer is cool. As trumph card and comic book hero, The Silver Surfer was unsurpassed. Bordering on almost evil, The Silver Surfer epitomised 'hero' - the one who could step up and take care of any real bad guy. While all around, 'being stretchy', 'flaming-on', 'a geologists dream' (The Thing) or 'hovering around unseen' simply lost their heads - true fans willed The Silver Surfer into action. So it is with Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer. If you held in your deck of cards: The Four and The Silver Surfer. And wished to win. The Silver Surfer would prevail every time. Outwith his scenes in the film, there is a spandex amount of nothing going on. Kids will love it for being brightly coloured and a great, innocent continuation of a group of 'Superheroes'. Comic book fans will note a Stan Lee cameo and wander why?
This was so dull I switched off after 30 mins as I had some interesting paint to watch drying. I've yet to see spider-man 3 but hopefully it will be better than this p.o.p. i love superhero films so was really disappointed with this.
Oh Dear. A promising concept is butchered as every comic book movie cliche is wheeled, creaking, across the screen with a tedious inevitability. Batchelor parties, weddings? Isn't this supposed to be a superhero movie? Retch. Cringe.
Hard to see where they are going with this franchise, story thin, humour thinner.
the best one yet well worth watching, a must to buy for my collection
