Farscape has got to be one of the finest sci-fi series that 'used to be' on the tele. The fact that it was cancelled at the end of its fourth season was a grave injustice to all its loyal fans and its great to see that its been given the chance to tie up all the lose ends that were left hanging. Oh boy! does it tie up those ends.
Any farscape fan will LOVE this, anyone with even the smallest tinge in their heart for sci-fi will LOVE this. Just take it from me you will love this mini-series. Hire it now!
If you are familiar with the bizarre and entertaining universe of Farscape then you will know what to expect from this last adventure. The Sci Fi series was shown on terrestial tv and proved a surprising hit. But it was cancelled when the money couldn't be found to keep the high standards alive.
The Jim Henson studios responsible for the Muppets etc. finally made one final adventure that continues where the series ended. The first part of which is on this DVD.
If you are unfamiliar with Farscape then it is worth seeing the series on DVD, because The Peacekeeper Wars makes no allowances for newcomers. Even for fans it is worth reminding yourself of the odd classic episode. With this film the effects are great, the characters in your face and the script funny. Leaving a certain over-rated rebirth of a TV Doctor well behind on all counts.
So, a sure fire hit for fans, and for novices check out all the different series of Farscape on DVD. It will be worth the effort.
