In 'Love Me Slender', Betty Simpson (Alison Steadman) prepares to compete for the Yorkshire Superslimmer 2000 championship after losing five stones - but where is her husband, Douglas, when she needs him? 'Fat Chance' sees bus driver Alan's (Richard Ridings) wedding anniversary plans upset when his wife tells him she no longer loves him and he ends up in hospital. In 'Fat Free', actress Lauren (Gaynor Faye) throws her diet to the wind when she attends a Jewish meal with her family. 'Growing Pains' sees 14-year-old Jamie (James Corden) cracking under the strain of looking after his single parent mother and being bullied at school over his weight problem. In 'Face the Fat', Val (Kathryn Hunt) hires a male escort when she has to attend the launch of her new weekend supplement, and decides to write a feature on the secrets of the slimming world. 'When the Fat Lady Sings' sees Kelly (Ruth Jones) losing all her inhibitions on her hen night when she mixes alcohol with her slimming pills, and following Val's article the media descend to see if she can fit into her wedding dress.

Well worth a watch - great writing

Very good and well worth a watch. Very realistic and goes thro the struggle and lives of people with weight problems. A good comedy, poignant and enjoyable . Brilliant writing . Well worth a watch. Wish there were more episodes- I miss it
