This crude, one-note live-action adaptation of Viz comic's regular strip aims low and still manages to misfire. Fiona Allen and Sophie Thompson don fat suits to bring Sandra and Tracy, Viz's booze-swilling, kebab-scoffing nymphos, to life. The girls' star quality is spotted by media baron Sean Cooley (Jerry O'Connell), after he receives a reality-altering bump on the head. Around this crass premise, the scattershot approach encompasses poorly handled gross-out slapstick, lame word play (Show us your passes leads to the obvious conclusion) and misjudged celebrity cameos (Geri Halliwell, Naomi Campbell, Angus Deayton). Allen and Thompson are usually engaging, and there is an entertaining film to be made from the bawdy adventures of two lusty Northern lasses — see Alan Clarke's Rita, Sue and Bob Too. Unfortunately, this comes nowhere near it.
Rude, crude and really not to be viewed unless you're 16

good cast but not what i was expecting, quite corny and predictable. should have kept it in viz.

"I was offered the part of the... Read more
