Gregoire (Louis-Do de Lencquesaing) is a happily wedded father of three young girls, an independent film producer who somehow manages to juggle the never-ending demands of his company with his domestic responsibilities. Married to his cellphone and chain-smoking his way through endless rounds of meetings and crises, he maintains his sense of humour despite incessant demands from the difficult Swedish auteur he has always wanted to produce and the arrival of a group from Korea doing preproduction work on a new film. In addition to massaging artistic egos, his job involves trying to keep one step ahead of his bank – and financing is always an interminable headache. When his wife, Sylvia (Chiara Caselli), insists that he join the family on an Italian holiday, Gregoire finds he can no longer maintain any sane balance. Returning to Paris, he confronts the biggest challenge of his career – with unexpected consequences.

Tissues at the ready. A heartfelt film in everyway. A very outstanding drama with some fine acting. An excellent cast, directed really well. A juggling of life led by a happily married father of 3. Watch his highs and lows here. The French never disappoint.

depressing stuff

Avoid like the plague especially if you are feeling down bloody awfully depressing.

Good film but no real need for it

Im not sure if i missed one massive point with this film that it was all in french and was subtitled so after fast forwarding and realising that this was still the case i turned it off and sent back..

like i say could be a real good film had i had to change something

Interesting Family Drama

An interesting and at times quite moving story of a film producer and his family, going through trauma involving debts and family secrets.

There are no real surprises in this movie but it is very watchable and very well acted.

Worth a look.

And the point of this self indulgent film was - what exactly? hated it with a vengeance. Why would anyone even want to give time to it?? No real sense of any characters apart from Gregoire - apart from distressing cameos of children who have lost their father through suicide. Made me wince. Would have liked to think the real guy was worth a tad more than that. Should not have been made.

I was disappointed with this film. Although the acting was very good, it moved slowly and there was too much time given to the character speaking on his mobile - we got the idea of how stressed he was in the first 2 minutes.

I was waiting for something to happen but what did happen was expected and predictable and the film went nowhere after that. A real wife would have been a lot angrier, I think.

At least it didn't rain...
