Steve Martin is a legend, I love all his films
This film is heart warming, and I recommend anyone who have daughters to watch it. I got emotional in some father and daughter scenes though. Steve martin suits to be a father of a daughter.

This is a great and yet typical american family film. Leaves you with that warm feeling, even though its dated its well worth a watch.
If you like feel-good comedies, you'll like this one. If you like Steve Martin, you'll simply love it. This is Steve Martin at his best. This film role allows him to pull some of his wonderful faces, without being too over-the-top and frenetic.
This is such a feel good film, and very funny to boot.
A good family film
Must watch the second part
When I first saw this film a few years ago, it seemed really funny - and after just watching it again, I still find it quite amusing. Steve Martin does a good job, although his "Wonder Years" style narrative and the tacky father-daughter-basketball-bonding scenes made me cringe. Not the funniest film in the world, but worth a look!
perfect movie for a father with a daughter getting married. What not to do! superb family entertainment.
Father of the Bride, Comedy family film starring Steve Martin and Diane Keaton as George and Nina Banks. They are the parents of young soon-to-be-wed Annie. George is a nervous father unready to face the fact that his little girl is now a woman. The preparations for the extravagant wedding provide some very hilarious moments.
