Fans of Robert Harris's runaway bestseller were unanimous in denouncing this made-for-cable movie as a pale shadow of the page-turning original. But they would say that, wouldn't they? The audacious plot (which turns on the premise that Hitler is still in power 20 years after winning the war) remains as compelling as ever and its startling ingenuity atones for the occasional dip in tempo. Rutger Hauer and Miranda Richardson race against time to expose the Holocaust with admirable conviction, but it's Jean Marsh who steals the show with a disturbing cameo as a fanatical Nazi actress. It's not the book, but it's not bad, either.

    Good film Better Book

Watched this film on the back of the book. The film is good with a good cast, but unfortuanatly there is something lost in this film that the book had.

If you want a good who dunnit film with a german twist this could be it.
