Most helpful review
Dated, predictable and uninvolving.By Bezman (82 reviews) from Glasgow , 09 Feb 2005

[Highly rated reviewer]Basil Fawlty is too inhumane a character, too unreal a person for us to have any compassion for him.
Some reactions are alien to our times and nearly all simply overpump a stereotype which is already a cartoon character placed in a universe he doesn't belong.
The endings can often be predicted before they come, resulting in a boring watch.

somethings never go out of fashionBy Popster (6 reviews) from Basildon , 06 Jul 2009How can anybody not find this anything but funny. The jokes are stupid but laugh out loud slapstick which cheers the saddest people up.
You can find a character to empathise with and watch their personalities grow.
SuperbBy a customer from Worcester , 22 Jun 2009My previous comment was deemed too short to be accepted. This comedy contains fantastic humour...

memory is fallibleBy a customer from Wembley , 31 May 2009Isn't it odd how your view changes over time? When i first saw an episide of Fawlty Towers, I couldn't see what others were raving about. Later, they had my falling off my chair. Now they seem a mix of hilariity and embarrassment. Took me back 30 years, though, which can't be bad!
