Electrifying

Unseen for decades due to contractual restraints, this is a brilliantly photographed and edited record of the highlights of the 1963-5 Newport Folk Festivals. The film captures the moment Dylan went electric with 'Maggie's Farm' and dispels the myth that he was booed - the crowd goes wild. Other acts include Joan Baez, Peter, Paul and Mary and Johnny Cash sing 'I Walk The Line'. Just as exciting as the headliners are the bluegrass, country, blues and gospel singers and an amazing performance by the Blue Ridge Mountain Dancers. A must for all fans of folk music.
