This movie was quite slow paced and very boring at times. The fight scenes were unimpressive, and in all fairness I have seen Channing in better form than in this movie.Howard's character speaking was what annoyed me most (he doesn't usually speak like that as I have seen him in other movies): it was slow and sluggish and made watching his character on screen annoying. I think what this movie lacked was energy/heart or passion whatever you want to call it. It's a shame, being a Rocky-esque style movie it could have been done so much better.
The trailer for 'Fighting' gives the impression that this film is going to be a high energy, gritty, bare knuckle fighting film....... In total the film had only 4 fights. if you could call them that!!!! The end fight was OK, but that was it, just OK. The rest didn't amount to much at all...
I would suggest if you want to watch a fighting film with actors with some charisma, a half decent story line, and yes, actual fighting. I would watch, 'Never Back Down'
Late actor Patrick Swayze felt like "a dead man" the day he was handed his cancer diagnosis. In his newly-released memoir, The Time of My Life, the Dirty Dancing star recalls the day he was told he was battling pancreatic cancer. He writes, "When my doctors... said the words 'pancreatic cancer,' a single thought popped into my head: 'I'm a dead man'. "I was not ready to go, and I'd be damned if this disease was going to take me before I was good and ready." But he admits he was up for the... Read more
