A young couple (Tabu and Sanjay Suri) seem to have everything going for them – they’re good-looking, wealthy and successful. Their lives are shattered when the lady, Rewa (Tabu) discovers that she will never be able to conceive a child. Into their lives comes Siya (Sushmita Sen), a fashion photographer, an intuitive and intelligent woman, who describes herself as an emotional nomad. She agrees to lend her womb so that Rewa can experience the joy of motherhood…..This unusual film, shot extensively in exotic locales in South Africa, marks Meghna Gulzar’s directorial debut.
