[Highly rated reviewer]This is picking up mixed reviews, so thought I'd add my 2p worth.
First off, I love the Final Destination series, it was a clever twist on the whole 'teen slasher' genre.
However, this movie just looks tired, with laughably poor traps set by 'death'. It's like the FD team have run out of ideas and enthusiasm.
Same for the actors - you will never have seen acting as wooden as this.
Don't get me wrong, it was a good way to kill a few hours in 3D at the cinema - the effects though clearly CGI were still entertaining - and genuinely startled the audience (some even ducked!)
However, on DVD with none of the 3D, it's really not worth watching...

Hopefully the final Final Destination- go out on a high note.By Naws (31 reviews) from Abingdon , 01 Apr 2012More of the same, and it's getting tired now, though this one is certainly better than number 4.
Overdone gore, so much so that it is almost funny rather than gory.
The first film was good, as to start with no one knew what was going on. Now, however, we do. They survive, then one by one, in order, they die. Too predictable.
much of a muchnessBy haylesbaylespigstales (177 reviews) from Fleetwood , 18 Feb 2012just the same as all the others i'm afraid with a little more gore each time!!
a total no brainer but good entertainment none the less
Saw for dummiesBy GarethJ (13 reviews) from Ferndale , 12 Dec 2011I watched this film purely on the trailer and it looked kind of interesting, people having premonitions and wanting to cheat death.
Not having seen any of the others I was quite hopeful, but I was very disappointed.
From the very start I could see each event unfold of unlikely and predictable set of circumstances occurring, and I could read each one like a book, no surprises for me apart from one death which caught me out.
Not Bad acting or special effects. but I wouldn't say the direction or camera work was anything to shout about.
Bit like 'SAW' but without any tension or thought put into it.
update pleaseBy movie (3 reviews) , 06 Dec 2011same same nothing amazing very predictable....they need new ideas something different...try to change the story line from all the others...
