Thank God it's the FINAL Fantasy
By shizzle from West Yorkshire , 26 Jan 2005[Highly rated reviewer]
Spurned by the positive buzz of other reviews I eagerly anticipated the arrival of this DVD, having loved the games. Bitter disappointment. I was expecting some in-depth character spun plot in life like CGI graphics like the games provide.
Instead, I got a lame Pokemon type spin-off which lacked any kind of grip in lame toon style that looked like it had been animated by an infant. Don't believe the hype, this does not live up to its reputation.- Was this review helpful to you?

All reviews
(8)more of the same
By TheOrs (200 reviews) from Southampton , 08 Jun 2008there is a story developing in there somewhere. it might just be my age but it is starting to seem that most of the episodes are the same as previous ones.
again, i must compare this to pokemon or yu-gi-oh rather that final fantasy as the structure of each episode is fairly similar (find new landscape, get attacked by monster, run away, get saved by mysterious bloke with summon skills, keep on walking), although you do get a different summon at the end of each cartoon.
still, there is something about it that makes me want to see it through to the end. maybe its my love of the final fantasy franchise or maybe i've just got nothing better to do.....- Was this review helpful to you?

Great second disc
By anonimity from Yorkshire,England , 20 Feb 2005So far the series has been a little straight forward, although now we see the story begining to develope. Although it may look like a kids program and maybe a total bomb. However if your a Final Fantasy Fanatic then you'll see the same slow development of the story line typical to all Final Fantasy games, which has turned out to be the Final Fantasy Series's secret to success.
Another few great episodes in this series. Hope it carries on and progresses through the series.
