Fine, Totally Fine is an absolute brilliant film. Sure, it has a quirky element in the style and the way it's shot but the characters are all interesting and the acting is spot on. It's an indie film that needs to be seen to be truly appreciated and it's charms will become apparent.- Was this review helpful to you?

(8)Charming, Totally Charming
By a customer , 20 Oct 2012A delightful film. Similar humour and style to 'Departures' and 'Turtles are surprisingly fast swimmers': a bit quirky, some good laughs, a good storyline and well observed characters.- Was this review helpful to you?

end of the world as we idk...
By juradino (811 reviews) from London , 12 Aug 2011Derivative is this nasty comedy that pretends to be funny while being deranged. But not quite. Hot Rock made fun of Twin Towers, Raising Arizona idk, Rockford Files was supposedly serious, and this? Forget the plot, at least Austin Powers movies had one (derivative but still a plot). Maybe Dr Evil has returned and Asians have not quite caught on yet. Or maybe they have. What do I know. I watch to many real horror movies and life.- Was this review helpful to you?

Not bad
By AcousticAshley (2 reviews) from London , 29 Dec 2010Its a little bit farcical in the beginning and a little bit slow in places but its still a nice little film and I enjoyed watching it, give it a spin when you're in a chilled out mood :)- Was this review helpful to you?

Very Pleasant
By a customer from London , 05 Oct 2010This film is slow moving, but the likeable chracters kept me watching. Our protaganist kept me laughing with his 'scary' tricks. I would have liked to see the relationship between the characters develope more as part of the storyline, but still a good film.- Was this review helpful to you?

A gentle and charming comedy, but it's not for everyone.
By H0LLIE (198 reviews) from UK , 24 Jul 2010Best friends Teruo, an imature dreamer, and the atractive and seemingly more mature Hisanobu, find their friendship tested when they both fall for the same girl, the inept and quietly beautiful Akari. This gentle comedy moves along at a quiet pace as the 3 main characters calmy watch their own lives unravel around them in a completely undramatic fashion. There are several moments of genuine humor and a good few touching scenes.
This film isn't for everyone, it's slightly strange and quirky and doesn't fall into the typical confines of comedy. The acting throughout is fantastic, as is the direction. But I would only recommend this to people who are fans of less mainstream Japanese cinema, this isn't exactly a rom com, more a slow tale of grown ups growing up.
Though I enjoyed it it's not something I'm likely to watch often, but it is worth curling up on the sofa with when you're in the mood for something a little different. One annoying thing though, the subtitles run a moment behind the dialogue which becomes quite distracting.- Was this review helpful to you?
