17th December 2009

I have been going through the process of reading Kings books and then watching the Films for the past few years however ever since The Green Mile, which was once my favorite film of all time, until I read the book and realised how bad it is in comparison, I have decided to watch the Films first because they inevitably never be as good as the books so I want to enjoy them while I can.

I wasn't expecting much of firestarter simply because of the year it was made. Like Children of the corn and pet cemetry I was expecting it to be grainy and jerky without flowing very well. It was all those things, but I still loved it because the story line made it so, and the big name actors in it helped. I was waiting for the ending and am dreading reading the book to a certain extent because King always cops out on his endings (ref: Pet Cemetry) but the film was really worth a watch.
