This film was an average hollywood movie with a major filmstar, who in my mind is a bit like an American version of Michael Caine, as in, he doesn't get the films he deserves to be in. All in all this is a slow, but tense thriller, that can keep the average film watcher, like me, on the edge of his seat.

WTF

You wonder what everyone was thinking. Harrison Ford (looking like an old man who would struggle to operate a mobile phone or open a pickle jar) is cast as a computer whizz kid with super fighting powers. Paul Bettany gets to play a britvillainevilgenius who has somehow managed to overlook several important facts in concocting his diabolical scheme. Naturally he comes unstuck as a result of this blunder but in case Harrison has a heart attack or succumbs to terminal dementia before he can find and rescue his improbably young family the scriptwriter has Paul's gang take Harrison's gps equipped family dog along to their hideout where the world's sharpest pickaxe has been left outside in a ditch in the rain .

The only conclusion you can reasonably come to after sitting through this dimwitted twerpery is that the main culprits were motivated by the factor Eddie Murphy described when asked why he agreed to do Best Defence
