(185)Utterly brilliant
By a customer , 20 May 2013Brilliant film, with brilliant characters and amazing acting. I highly recommend. Aside from the two main characters, the little sister is one of the most brilliant characters ever portrayed on film.- Was this review helpful to you?

Well worth a watch
By Jackie1 (5 reviews) from Ely , 29 Apr 2013Excellent film. Gritty and 'real'. A snapshot of life as it really is for some folks in Britain. Excellent acting. A little depressing at times, but also makes you smile.- Was this review helpful to you?

Would recommend
By a customer , 22 Feb 2013Realistic film about being brought up in a council estate and the difficult issues that occur where the family has not developed good boundaries and given the child the love and support needed growing up. Katie Jarvis and Michael Fassbender parts were acted very well.
Would recommend watching.- Was this review helpful to you?

A very good under-rated BBC film.
By Bobsview (554 reviews) from Gloucestershire , 21 Oct 2012Bleak gritty portrayal of the lives of a very youg single mother and her two daughters the oldest of whom is 15 in a grim tower block in an east London sink estate. Depressing and sadly extremely realisitc view of people living hopeless lives . The mothers boyfriend also turns his attention on the daughter with predictably disastrous results. A compelling watch.- Was this review helpful to you?
