On their way home from a high school football game, five teenage girls become hopelessly lost. When they stop to get directions at a desolate store, the girls are involved in a minor fender bender which leaves an unattended SUV one headlight short. Inexperienced and frightened that they'll get into trouble, the girls flee the scene of the accident and speed away down the dark and unfamiliar roads. As they blindly make their way across an area the locals call THE EYES, the girls are suddenly shocked to see one lone headlight appear behind them. As the driver of the damaged SUV begins one terrifying assault after another, the five girls will lose their innocence and possibly their lives in this brutal and shocking thrill ride.

Ok, let me be honest: When I put this on for the first time, I turned it off again after 10 minutes. I was not in the mood for cheap shaky cameras and what looked so much to be just a nasty video nasty. So I watched Legally Blonde instead. Sigh, but you get the picture.
This is one of those films that you have to watch in the right frame of mind. If you allow yourself to get used to the strange, inexpensive quality of Five Across The Eyes and the fact that the camera seems handheld yet restricted to the insides of the girls' van, you might just find yourself beginning to enjoy this.
Veiled behind the 'made it for £20, got my mates to act and play the music' look is some ultra black humour (dad's ashes in the car), characters that start to develop and unravel very nicely with the increasing terror- brought upon the 5 girls by one of the most vicous, twisted psycho killer stalker woman you have ever seen. The fact that it is not some big acting name doing their thing for an Academy Awards makes it feel a lot more real and intense.
A seriously twisted, nasty little treat, that will have you laugh, tense, shout and cheer if you let yourself in for the ride.

Absolute trash. Watch it with the sound off and subtitles on. Constant screaming and bitching from the girls got on my nerves. Film goes in and out of focus about 40 minutes in. Avoid!
