Chevy Chase reprises his role as the daffy investigative reporter in this adult comedy, but this time he's not blessed with a sharp enough script. Fletch is one of those characters that you either find irresistibly funny and folksy, or merely the celluloid celebration of the nightmare passenger you find yourself sitting beside in a plane. If you tend firmly towards the latter, then this particular journey in the company of Mr Chase could be the equivalent of nonstop to Auckland in economy. The plot, such as it is, doesn't so much revolve around Chase in a variety of ill-fitting disguises, as spin mercilessly out of control.

    what was chevy thinking!

I guess chevy must of seen the dollar signs in order to make this movie! Fletch was one of my favourite films but this was a very VERY poor follow up. The plot is so thin, you can almost see through it, the acting is so wooden it hurts to watch. What was chevy thinking! I have given this 1 star because you can not give no stars! One to avoid!

    he lives agian.

it may not be as funny as the first, but it's a worthy follow up to it.it would be nice if they could make another one.
