This film focuses on Flight 93, the fourth fateful aircraft to have been destroyed on that tragic day in recent American history, and portrays the event as a heroic attempt to avert further disaster. There is, understandably, much histrionics and the occasional brief technical instruction but absolutely no thought provoking dialogue of any kind. Sustained high tension becomes simply tedious and irritating without moments of reflection or philosophising. The film, for all its realistic depiction of personal trauma, somehow leaves the viewer with no insight whatsoever as to 'why'.
