    [Highly rated reviewer]

Ralph Bellamy tends to wander round in a daze in these homespun whodunnit tales and even bowls over the odd woman (must be Lynx). Early 50s US crime series (aka Man Against Crime). Bellamy is a hired crime buster and you can see him as a sort of OAP Saint, given the similarity of the storylines to Charteris's original short stories, but maybe without the subtlety.

You get a pretty tough murder in the final tale for those of you who go for that sort of thing.

Worth renting just for the intro (you actually get different versions too)! Give it a spin - dig that murky monochrome!
