funny girl?

She is funny and sexy in her own way but nearly every clip involved her and it got a bit much in the end. I gave it 3 stars because my kids enjoyed it and that's what matters.- Was this review helpful to you?

By Claire Neeson from Cambridge , 30 Nov 2009I had a vague memory of watching this film at some point in the early 1980's and for some reason I thought I'd enjoyed it. Clearly I was too young when I first viewed it to realise what a sexist, unfunny piece of nonsense it is! Barbara Streisand is capable of great comedy (watch 'What's Up Doc' for proof) but her talents are wasted in this ill-conceived, badly scripted load of hogwash.

very funny
By a customer from midlands , 05 Jul 2006I like Barbra Streisand she is very funny, she borrows money from the Mob and when they can not get there money back. it is easier to sell her contract on to other bad people just to get rid of her as she causes so much trouble for every one until her hubby has to buy her contract is there a future in pork-bellys. just wish she would do a few more films. very talented lady- Was this review helpful to you?

Arousing and provoking laughter
