Loved the beginning, Hated the EndBy CuddlyWolverine (7 reviews) , 10 Jul 2013
THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS Show review anywayHideI loved the film, until the end, at which point it turned into some kind of morality tale.. or even worse, a Cautionary tale Like all spooky fairy tales full of beautiful witches and virginal maidens it went something like this: Young men.. sow your wild oats only for One Night BEFORE you wed and do not fall in love with the lively gorgeous freely eccentric creature who you use on this One Night and who clearly NEEDS you because she has no stability in her life. No no... do not fall for her go home and marry the Baby Woman.. the woman who has all of her needs provided STILL by her parents and thus, is still a BABY!! And (fingers crossed!) chances are, shes still a baby because her parents have LOTS OF MONEY.. so, you can become the stay-at-home dad you always wanted to be. Yes.. be wise, be square-jawed, be moral and don't disappoint the family. Marry for money, safety, security, some species of love, but NEVER for passion or, god help you, ADVENTURE!' It was awful. Between the goddamned flower arrangements, the white dress, the BRIDESMAIDS from HELLO Magazine and the whole god-awful ending I have come to hate the film. But.. I see light at the end of the tunnel.. in 10 years when he is a disillusioned twice daddied stayed-at-home-dad he will meet Sarah again, and she will make him beg for mercy, but he will do it and follow her to the ends of the Earth I see the SEQUEL!!!! (uh-oh.. which should have been produced 5 years ago!) OK.. in 20 years on his way to his daughters wedding he misses a plane and a train and spends the night with a young eastern european hooker and THEN meets Sarah and ...well they live happily ever after. Yes I STILL see THE SEQUEL. Come on Hollywood. Dont disappoint me.
Only if you're really bored.By a customer , 09 Jul 2012Not Sandra Bullock or Ben Affleck's finest hour. I suppose both play the parts they're meant to play quite well, it's the parts themselves that leave something to be desired. A bit clumsy and a generally bizarre atmosphere throughout culminating in a lacklustre ending. I can think of worse ways of spending two hours of my life, but I can also think of better.
Chick flick with a twistBy ADSTADIE (6 reviews) , 31 May 2012Was a good watch. Lots of twists & turns & ends not as we think it will! What an ending indeed.
Watchable but only just!By The KnightWatcher (629 reviews) from Gloucestershire , 10 May 2012This Rom Com starts OK but seriously peters out and ultimately disappoints. Has a few amusing moments but most of it is just absurd and lacks credulity. The story tries to be a sort of mix of Trains, Planes, and Auto-mobiles and When Harry met Sally but this film is not in the same class as either of those. Even Sandra Bullock is lack lustre and her presence will not be enough even for her fans. It is watchable but that is all. Weak ending.
Ordinary unoriginal rom comBy a customer , 30 Jan 2012Rather silly but better than most things on TV these days which doesn't say much! If you like Sandra Bullock you will probably like this but she seemed rather over the top at times and the 'adventures' rather unrealistic.
