Ben Holmes, a soon-to-be-hitched batchelor, is unable to fly to Savannah for his wedding (due to a careless seagull and an approaching hurricane). He must share a rented care with Sara, a kooky character who clashes with him in every way. What's that saying: opposites attract Read more

Sandra Bullock and Ben Affleck are among the most handsome stars working in Hollywood today and both have proved themselves adept at the romantic comedy genre (she in While You Were Sleeping, he in the superb Chasing Amy). However, they fail to find the requisite chemistry in this otherwise pleasant enough movie — Affleck is fine as the strait-laced groom-to-be who has a Planes, Trains and Automobiles-style trip to his wedding, but Bullock is a little miscast as the quirky gal he hooks up with, who may tempt him away from his waiting bride (played with poignant sincerity by Maura Tierney). That said, the supporting cast (including the fabulous Steve Zahn as Affleck's gormless pal) works hard, and the film does have occasional moments of charm. It's amusing, but not as good as it could have been.
A bumbling and typically charmless latter-day studio screwball comedy. Ben (Affleck) is flying to Savannah, Georgia, to... read more on Time Out
Trivial attempt at a screwball comedy, one that lacks any kind of sparkle or wit despite its engaging stars.
If your are into romance, u can enjoy this movie. Settings beautiful and the movie enjoyable. Watch it on a comfortable night in!
This was an amusing little film. We quite enjoyed it, but we usually do like sandra bullock films. Ben Affleck was quite good as well.
i thought this film would have a predicable ending was i wrong, good film for romantic's to watch, sandra bullock is very good in her part and the best bit for me was when they were dancing together, i thought that was lovely!!!!,so in love,
Not such a good movie...

This film was great, i dont usually like Ben Affleck and rented it for the Wonderfull Sandra Bullock. But i have to say i thought Ben was great in it. The storyline was amusing and the ending was much better than expected. Not cheesy at all. I would say a chick flick but my hubbie liked it to.
I Pressed the repeat button as soon as the film started showing the Credits, i had to watch it twice in one night. If you thought you had problems, wait till you see the ones Sandra Bullock and the lead experience in this film, your problems will become lighter, do see a psychoanalyst if you are not moved from beginning to the end of this film.
Really bad film the plot started out ok but fell apart quite soon in-to the film.
Not such a good movie...
Bullock is at her best when playing kooky, quirky, sassy girls; and this performance is no exception. A fun film with many twists.

This film starts out well enough:

Ben (Affleck) is going to fly down to Savannah to get married. His fear of flying is not
helped by the fact that the plane has to make a forced landing before it's even completed
its take-off. With the shortage of rental cars, he ends up sharing with Sarah (Bullock), a
fellow passenger. After a couple of other disasters, they end up in the middle of
nowhere.

In order to get a lift, Sarah asks Ben to lie about who he is. This is where things start
getting bad. You have the inevitable twists and coincidences at which point I gave up
watching.

as above, the storyline leads you to nowhere
